How we work with you

We are a team of midwives working week on call/week off call. Our on-call weeks are Tuesday-Tuesday. Have a read below of how we work with you in each stage of your pregnancy.

Antenatal

You will see your LMC for antenatal appointments up until 36 weeks, in which time you will then have alternate visits with your LMC and your back-up midwife.

Appointments are half hour in duration. If you are late for your appointment we will have less time to discuss any matters/concerns as we endeavour to finish on time to be considerate to the next woman’s appointment.

In unforeseen circumstances we will need to cancel our clinic and reschedule, we will endeavour to do this in a timely matter.

  • 1st Trimester: booking appointment/screening tests
  • 14-28 weeks: every 4-6 weeks
  • 28-36 weeks: every 2-3 weeks
  • 36 weeks until birth: every week
